Studio Kite was established in 1989. We offer a wide range of services
including design, engineering, large scale sculpting, model making, 3D
modelling, 3D printing and machining, customised medical models and
prototyping. We have provided models,creatures, sets and effects on
thousands of TV commercials and scores of films.

At Studio Kite, we maintain our position as a top studio in the model making
industry by leading the way with innovative technologies and materials.

Our workshop is in The Pocket, NSW, 15 minutes from beautiful Byron Bay and
30 minutes from the Gold Coast airport.

Studio Kite’s facility includes a comprehensive machine and welding shop,
carpentry section, vacuum forming machine, spray painting and fume
extraction equipment and state of the art small-and large-scale 3D printing
and milling machines.

To complement our smaller 3D printers, we have designed and built CADzilla, a
monster of a 3D printer with a build chamber of 2.6m x 2.5m x 3.6m with
printing speeds up to 24m/min. Studio Kite can print your provided 3D model,
or we can design to your specifications whether it be an engineering
component, sculptural art installation or set construction. All 3D printed
objects can be fully recycled and this recycled material can be reprinted. 3D
printing is overall less toxic and produces far less waste making it a better
choice for the environment.
