Centennial Parklands is central to Australia’s vibrant filming and entertainment industry, being home to Fox Studios Australia, the Australian Film Television and Radio School, two multiplex cinemas, Moonlight Cinema and Tropfest. Every year we facilitate more than 170 outdoor commercial filming and photography shoots, with demand increasing every year.
Conveniently located just minutes from the Sydney CBD, Centennial Parklands has been the location for many well-known TV shows and films. Recently we have hosted blockbuster production sequences from Wolverine, The Great Gatsby and Underbelly, as well as smaller-scale productions including documentaries, TV commercials and fashion photography shoots.
Key features that we can offer the industry are a vast range of picturesque and versatile backdrops, ample space for parking and support vehicles, and the ability to facilitate internal park road closures.
Centennial Parklands (encompassing Moore Park, Centennial Park and Queens Park) offers varying landscapes such as pine forests, sloping fields, ponds, beautifully manicured gardens and bushland areas. We also have an athletics track and stadium, a vibrant public golf course with one of the largest driving ranges in the southern hemisphere, and an equestrian centre with more than 200 horses stabled.
In addition to being an idyllic location, the Parklands also boasts a number of independent and creative on-site businesses within the Moore Park precinct which can provide a wide range of film-related services.
The Parklands’ helpful and experienced staff are happy to advise you on the most suitable location, and will endeavour to make your shoot as smooth as possible. We comply with the NSW Government’s Film Friendly Policy and have an exceptional track record of delivering for the client, while balancing the needs of the visiting public.
